I stopped by here to see if it was a good place to walk dogs and was happily surprised. Shawnee Prairie Nature Preserve is beautiful. The trails are clear, the children's nature play area is wonderful and this is a great place to meet friends to walk and even bring dogs. Just be sure to keep pups on a leash and pick up any potty messes your dog has. Highly recommend this if you like to be in nature.
My kids love to play here in nature.nnThis last week (early March) we were there & the workers were boiling down the sap from the maple trees & making syrup.
Its beautiful, clean, easy to find and navigate. Lots of walking trails. Gorgeous views. Easily one of my favorite spots around. Great for all ages. Even wheelchair accessible for the most part!
It is very pretty here. The trails will take you to a beautiful field of flowers and plants. It is a great place to take photos and to just walk and enjoy the quiet and beauty of nature.
Really cool! Take the dog for a walk and check it out!
