Lakewood has a strong police force that responds quickly. I know a lot of people, along with myself that feel safe living in Lakewood because the police are on top of almost everything. The only complaint I have is that younger cops seem to ignore facts if it makes incidents faster for them. I am a little worried about the rashness of the younger cops but overall they do a great job. And to Samantha, if you care about the homeless so much, start a shelter. It’s a waste of time for our police to deal with that nonsense.

Absolutely terrible. All they're focused on is getting your money in whatever fashion they can. They were no help when I called in and actually needed assistance. You're better off relying on yourself.

They wouldn't arrest a woman-beater who broke a woman's arm inside a bar with multiple witnesses. Her only 'crime' was drinking at a bar. I'm pretty sure police gangs run the streets here. So much for Justice...
