Ridgeview Elementary School

Had an issue when my daughter was younger, my husband was there for her program and the principle at the time assumed he was not her father, approached him in a very awkward and negative way. He was told he could not use the bathroom, it was for students and parents. He was grilled, I assumed that because her father was black and the school was 90% or more white she assumed he did not belong there.nA few weeks after that my daughter did not return home from school. She was not put on the bus, I started to have panic and anxiety attacks, I called the school they said we've been waiting for your husband to pick her up and I said what do you mean, and they said well there was a phone call and they said not to put her on the bus that her father was coming to get her. I Could NOT BELIEVE THEY HAD HER SITTING AT THE FRONT DOOR READY TO BE RELEASED TO WHOEVER WALKS THROUGH THE DOOR!!!!! They told her she could leave!!nI found it odd that you would just remove my child from the bus with no other info, never even asked for information on the father's name but yet have her ready and at the door to be released... YET you would act the way you did when her father tried to use the bathroom, MAKE HIM FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE MAKE ME FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE LIKE HE'S SOME KIND OF CHILD PREDATOR.nAfter several years, one would think by that point they would know who her father is. Never had the issue again because she went to Braden and over there they're not ignorant.

Great school, kids are taught well here. Parents picking up or dropping off their kids that's not the school fault but it's sometimes problematic at time.

This is my home my school my happy place I'm now going into middle school but I'll miss it
