There's a reason this place has a high employee turnover rate.
Worked here for about 2 months. Honestly your basic welding job, I was new but they were very willing to work with new welders (for a reason). Good people working there, good comradery among coworkers.
But upper management couldn't care less about the employees, I felt we were seen as numbers, not people. Because production was so inefficient in the SLC shop, they decided to merge day and night shifts together for training, and without warning cut all temps. Unless you've hit 3 months with the company, you're still considered a temp. It was the end of the week, end of the day when we were told. From a production standpoint it makes sense I guess, but it would've been nice to know so I could be ready to find a new job.
The work is hard obviously, its production welding. One thing that keeps me going is being able to listen to music or audiobooks while I work. Not here, against the rules. Imagine 10 hour days listening to nothing but the noise of your arc.
Family oriented. Growing but still intimate. I love the people here and how everyone helps out everybody, everywhere. Lots of passionate team members to make this place the greatest. That is my goal!
Whiney forklift driver loading flatbeds, have to tarp material that is stored outdoors in Salt Lake City? Yea, that's logical.
