RITA sends a notice, I mail a response. No response to my letter, they send another notice, I mail another letter with more information and documentation. No response to my letter. This goes on for YEARS. I finally call and they tell me they don't respond to correspondence! WHAT? I get a penalty notice for late payment. I call to figure out what period the penalty is suppose to cover. I research, it was paid timely. I call back and am told they will look into it. A week later they call back and tell me it was a computer glitch. This happened twice within a year. How many people just pay the notice because they can't figure it out and don't want to bother with it?
Oh, great. They are coming here Sept. 1. Guess I'm gonna have to sell my house and leave.
Absolutely ridiculous! I called and an agent helped me fill in the correct information. Then I got a letter saying it is wrong and I owe hundreds of dollars? Totally ridiculous.
incompetency.nI had a $7 overpayment credited to 2018, rec'd a 1099-G for $35, which I now have to pay federal taxes. (Just one example of their many annual errors) How can they get everything wrong, every year. Moved out of jurisdiction last summer and they are still haunting me with notices. Ugh
This place is a total joke. They will never help you do anything. they will never tell you if something is wrong they won't only Bill you and Jack up tons of fees and late charges they will never help you do anything.we had an issue trying to file our taxes this year with them on their website and their website was down so I had to send it in via paper form and now I'm getting charged late penalties because of their stupid website being down.AGAIN THIS PLACE IS A FREAKING JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
