Mount Vernon High School

I went to this school for around a year and a half. It was honestly such a terrible experience.nYou might actually have a better experience if you are/were an athlete. And that's a FACT!nAlso most days you went to school you are treated like a criminal for no reason at all.nAnd they are always making up some stupid new rules that get you in trouble. As of recently they keep late students go in the small cafe for the whole period causing you to miss class. Which is hindering me from starting my day.nAnyway overall is bad. I'm happy I left.

There is some good and bad. Haven't been inside in a while to see how it's changed but from what I recall there, being a sports person had some privilege. Whereas, everyone else worked for what they wanted (for the most part, there's some exception to that statement). Either way, you made the best or you got the worst.

I attended this school after being a high achiever in elementary and middle school... and this school DIMINISHED my drive and motivation to excel academically. Wonderful teachers who try their very best, but everything else sucks: the security SUCKS, guidance counselors SUCK, other students SUCK, policies SUCK, principals SUCK (notice I said principalS -- we had 3 in 4 years!) Yeah, the whole place is stifling. If you're an artist, writer, thinker, or anything out of the status quo, you will be discouraged from succeeding in any of these fields. If you're good at basketball, though, consider this school your path to money and fame. They only respect athletes and not intellectuals. Damn shame. Also, they need to do something about the excessive violence.

This school is horrible, the security guards have favorites and some teachers don't know how to teach. The students treat each other horribly. There are always fights in the school
