Windrifter Ballooning

We met David after reaching out via email for the Adirondack Balloon Festival in Queensbury New York. I can't even begin to explain how glad we were that we chose him. We wanted to take the morning flight so we met him at the field around 630 in the morning. The chase crew was there and even let us sit in their car to keep warm until the balloons were clear to fly, there was some fog in the morning.nnDavid's crew is nothing short of amazing. They all worked in a synchronized manor setting up the balloon and basket. You could tell they were a family. Then it was time for take off. We hopped in the basket and next thing we knew we were overlooking the Lake George area. David, who is a local, pointed out all the significant areas, taught us about some weather patterns and even told us about The Trap. It's a local craft beer place owned by his son, highly recommend also!nnWe landed in a parking lot about 30 minutes from where we took off. The landing was quite flawless. After we landed and the crew met us, they again perfectly packed up the balloon and basket in no time. To celebrate the successful almost hour long ride, they surprised us with champagne, cheese, crackers and this delicious zucchini loaf. David then proceeded to tell us all about the first hot air balloon ride and how it became what it is today.nnIf you're looking for an absolutely wonderful experience I truly believe that there's no other option than to go with Windrifter. It was a magical experience and he made me and my husband both want to balloon for the rest of our lives!
