I took my Brother 4000d to this dealer for the guy to fix it. It had skipped stitches, the stitch alignment was off and embroidery unit needed to be cleaned and the machine just desperately needed to be serviced.nnI paid $160 for the repair. It took 3 weeks when they told me it would take two. I go make the hour+ drive to pick it up from the repair shop and pay $160 and get it home and am using it and the stitch alignment is still wrong, all of the flower stitches were lopsided and looked nothing like flowers.nnI was furious that after all of that time and money they did not even address the problems I took it there for. They told me they cleaned the embroidery arm good inside... And cleaned the machine. What about the problematic stitches?? They looked awful. I called and voiced my concern and he asked what I did to it, could it be user error!! I said I turned it on and selected a stitch, if thats user error??? So he continued to insist it was in good working order, ran perfectly when I got it and brought it back. I told him no and asked if he would take it back to fix it for free and he did say yes they would fix whatever the problem was if I brought back. Problem is, it is an hour each way. So my husband is awesome with machines of all sorts and also is a code writer & he was able to fix it after 2 days of being in the repair screen, adjusting needle position, feed dogs and more. It was an adjustment that could only be made in the repair screen and by actually doing work on it, unscrewing screws and readjusting things; I have the feeling the repair man didn't even pull up that screen and do anything.nnAll in all if you need your machine to be cleaned I am sure this place would be fine or if you live close and don't mind going a time or two; otherwise I would NEVER take mine back here. The machine had real issues that needed to be repaired not cleaned. For me, it was $160 and four hours of driving wasted and I am not happy about that. I would have given 1 star but he offered to fix it -again, that does count for something. I just did not want to waste more of my time taking it back, luckily my husband was able to fix all issues with it. I just expected the service to be like what I get when I take my Husqvarna to my Husky repair place. Last time it had similar stitch alignment issues, it took them 5 days and I had my embroidery machine back from them, easy, 100% repaired, not a problem since.
