Island Trees Public Library

This review is more towards administration. I am aware that certain things changed during COVID-19, but I think administration from this library took it to the next level. What was the point of closing the library at 4pm when most people work till 5pm or 6pm. Great, I ordered books for my kids but was never able to pick them up since everyday at 4pm it was closed. Not even one late day. Has the pandemic been so bad that in August we couldn't have one late day? Needed to return something and went there to drop it off at the drop box on a Saturday, and guess what, the drop box is locked only Monday - Friday with limited hours. Really? I am not sure who is running this place but with the taxes that we pay there should have been a better way to run this library during the pandemic. No other library in Nassau had any of this kind of nonsense that I am aware of. Great job Admins.

Great summer reading programs for kids. Really enjoyed the selection of movies. They hold classes year long in the back of the library. Definitely small but mighty!

this library has great entertaining books and movies for all ages plus crafts for certain age groups. i love it there.
