Hicksville Public Library

I like visiting libraries such as Hicksville Pubic Library to charge my devices and study. This is a nice library. I believe it is two levels. They have a friendly and helpful staff too.

Reference desk 'help' is extremely rude. They love to refer to their excessive signage as an answer to questions you ask in person. When stating 'can't they read the sign' isn't enough to get their point across, they hide their frustration behind a mask.nnHearing the disgust in this woman's verbiage was undeniable. As a patron, I felt unwelcome and publicly degraded. Professionalism went out the window long ago for this duo behind the desk. Venom for 'stupid' patrons who didn't comprehend the sign is all they have left.nnA very strict and unwelcoming setting. Why even remain open? The library is for information learning and community aid. I'll never go back or refer. I'm going to the Levittown library where I can expect courtesy and respect.

Great library. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable.

Recommend coming here. Awesome to come study here and lots of books you need and great movies too! Staff is also very nice. It also has some playing activities for your kids and it will keep them busy if you need to go get a book or something. They're are also some programs for any ages.
