Go to institute! Follow the prophet and make institute a priority! It provides an amazing atmosphere to learn the gospel. Go to learn, make friends, serve, and have fun! Get involved! You get what you put in! This is also where my ward meets!

Very sad to have seen a large group of young men in athletic gear and carrying basketballs being let into the building by an adult today. The church has implemented COVID-19 measures, as well as directives from local government. It is very sad that these young men are being taught that breaking rules is okay, as long as nobody is watching, and in a church building! It’s a shame. This adult (roughly 5’6”, 300lbs, long gray beard), and these young men should know better.

First impressions I learned cool things today..but the instructor needs a stern talking to. He spoke so loud, there was no place for the Spirit to enter my still-resonating skull. I couldn't hear my partner, or even my own thoughts. He also has a nasty habit of routinely demeaning the class, calling students fat, immature, or ignorant. Before someone replies, "He's just kidding," let me tell you that I heard that line from my abusive father hundreds of times. His only humor was poking fun at his wife and children and he thought it was so funny. If his behavior is considered normal, safe, and acceptable then I don't have high hopes for the rest of the week
