Clean and friendly place

Had a parking violation earlier today for an honest mistake (did not see a handicap sign where I parked) two ladies helped me: Darlene and Denise. Don’t know about anyone else working there but these two ladies were respectful, efficient, and pleasant. They acted this way without knowing that I am one to write reviews. Denise let me know that she could not waive my ticket but was understanding to the situation and would cut the price in half if I could pay today. I am not sure if that was all she could do, but it definitely seemed genuine.nnI am relatively new to New York and I work about an hour South of Poughkeepsie, but I have had only positive experiences during encounters with city and county workers (save one encounter with two police officers). I feel I am in an environment where they care for residents. I do not plan on living anywhere else at the moment as I feel like my tax dollars are well spent.

Waste of space. Nothing positive ever gets done here. Best part about City Hall is that it houses our police station that has to deal with the Poughkeepsie dirtbags, lowlifes and thugs. Thank you Poughkeepsie PD. The Common Council is a joke, especially Petsas in the first ward. What an arrogant, pompous, wannabe. Poughkeepsie needs strong leadership and you won't find it in this building.

The city gets a bad rap. But crime is violent crime is down 50 percent over the past ten years. P-town is trending in the right direction!

Just a massive waiting game and no one cares. Welcome to the new world.
