Gallery 40

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with Gallery40 as an international artist. I would not recommend participation for artists living overseas. I sent my paintings there for a show in November 2020, and was trying to get them back since the end of December of 2020. I kept getting ignored (text messages on whatsapp, text messages on messenger, emails, and even phone calls where I would call up to 10 times) by the gallery coordinator and for the last 2 months (February 2021- March 2021) they weren't even on display at gallery but at the gallery coordinator's home. I did not get them back till April 2021, by no help from the galley but from a very kind lady on an artist support group on facebook. She took the trouble to go there physically to get the paintings and ship them to me (within 2 days with the Easter). To be completely honest I'm not sure if I would have ever gotten them back if it wasn't for her.
