Wonderful doctor!!Helped my fiancée with his pancreas problems,and has such wonderful beside manner.Amazing physician!!!

I must say this doctor was the most illequiped physician that I have ever seen in a medical setting in my life! I'm 34 years old and have a very rare disease that I've battled since the age of 18! So needless to say I've been treated by more than my share of doctors! First of all it only gives you the option of rating Dr. Chaaya as a 1 through 5, I rated him a 1 however if the scale was different I would've given him a negative 5. Nearly 1 year ago i was diagnosed with Chronic Gastritis by a surgeon at Whitesburg ARH following extensive testing. Was placed on the routine treatment plan and sent on my way. Approximately 2 months following my diagnosis I started having what I thought where flare ups.. I would experience uncontrollable pain and was force to frequent local ER's just for pain relief, I'm talking in the ER at least twice a month for the past year. I see regularly a Pulmonologist and Oncologists at the University of Kentucky. Ok to the point my family Doctor is starting to believe im having issues with my gallbladder and hasreferred me to an Endocrinologist.. Another side note, because of my poor health I've had to use supplemental oxygen since I was 24. So I go to my Dr Chaaya appointment, I'm called back to see the Dr and im thinking awesome I'm finally gonna receive some answer. I noticed Dr Chaaya sitting at the end of this hallway and he looked up and noticed me as the nurse walked me to my room! Within minutes Dr Chaaya comes in!! First thing he says is I notice you use oxygen, I told YES I do since I was 24 and the reason I must use it! At that moment the nurse comes in and hands him all the testing results and diagnosis from ARH. The man ask about my pain and I tell him it's a 6 to 7 but when I have flares it's a 9. He shakes me off and tells me that what is wrong with my upper abdomen pain on the right side is simple my diaphragm cramping because I'm on supplemental oxygen which causes me to work harder to breath! I was stunned, a kid whose taken any science course in middle school could've given a more accurate diagnosis!!! The best part is Dr Chaaya never once looked at my test results and imaging that diagnosed me Chronic Gastritis! At my future meetings with my Pulmonologist and Oncologists At UK I told them of his diagnosis!!! The looks on their faces where both priceless and frightening!!!! They ask me for his name and instructed not to go back to him that they'd get me a doc at UK!!! So yeah I'm warning any of u that may be scheduled to see him or do see, PLEASE for your own safety and the sake of your health immediately get a second opinion with a doctor not affiliated with Pikeville Medical Center, it could save your life!!!!!!!!!!!
