I did not attend this school, but I was invited to meet with admissions faculty (Al Cook) to find out more information on the sonography program. Upon meeting with the admissions faculty, I immediately felt unwelcome. When I was asked questions regarding why I am interested in the program, his responses to my answers made me feel criticized and disapproved of. I had mentioned that a previous career path that I had pursued was not right for me, and Mr. Cook seemed to be under the impression that I was not willing to do hard work, which is not what I implied at all. I had not signed up for an interview, just an informational meeting. Though the rest of the faculty I met that day seemed polite, the end of the meeting with Mr. Cook was topped off with him saying “Are you discouraged yet?”. That was all I needed to hear. I never write reviews... but this one just stuck with me. I am a student who is currently changing career paths. The next decision I make needs to be the right one and I think it’s safe to say that I won’t be considering Healthcare Training Institute.

Waste of 20K. I would not recommend Healthcare Training Institute to anyone. The sad part is instead of the school taking responsibility for the pitfalls of their organization they find every reason to blame the student(s). Their reputation is so bad with some facilities that they don't want to accept students for externship. The school IS NOT equipped to offer Sonography and I wish I would have made a different choice. Total waste of time and money. The level of frustration and disregard (from faculty to student) I have witnessed is disheartening and unprofessional. Favoritism for some students lack of acknowledgement for some students, helping some students more than others, ignoring students during class and lab when students are participating. Complaints were made NOTHING was done. I have witnessed a student being talked down to and I couldn't believe with my own 2 eyes and 2 ears what I was seeing. How humiliating and embarrassing. Not sure what it's like for other subjects but for Sonography PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

My name is Genesis. I am a former student of the ultrasound program at Healthcare Training Institute. I am extremely thankful for the staff at HTI for helping me throughout my journey. I was super nervous throughout the program and wasn’t too sure I would even be able to successfully complete the program, pass any registry exam and find a job. Thankfully, I had an amazing instructor, Dr.Mirza. He goes above and beyond for his students. Very thorough in lectures and in lab. Each and every clinical site I went to during the program was great! I went to Mountainside Medical Center, St Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson and Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. The staff at those hospitals were amazing!! I learned so much from those experiences. The clinical coordinator at HTI, Gae, does an incredible job working with the students to make sure they are doing well during externship.nnThe program was definitely no joke and took lots of dedication and work. I was fortunate enough to be able to sit for the ARDMS registry exam after clinicals because I have my bachelors degree. I’m super happy to finally say I did it and working in the field thanks to Joy who helped me find a job almost right after finishing clinicals. I am grateful for everyone at the school because I finally have a career and one that I love!

I’ve had a good experience at HTI. Of course there were some bumps to over come, but through it all I can say the staff was very helpful to me. I’ve procrastinated furthering my education for a very long time, intending to do so but never really following through. Most people have a fear of not being able to finish. I will be the first to admit, as a single mother of two you children, it was not easy. There were moments where I considered giving up because I was so overwhelmed. Luckily, the amazing staff at HTI stood by me every step of the way. The environment was welcoming and the teachers were great. Over time, it became more of a family than a school. It takes a lot of determination, staying focus, and believing in your self. My children were my motivation because I knew they deserved a better life. I thank god I chose HTI because now I have the tools to give them one. Here I am now, graduated and working in my field and I love everything about it. Thank you everyone at HTI for being patient with me and guiding me through it all. You guys are the best!

Great environment and super nice teachers , you really learn alot but they also get you hired right away . Highly recommend this institute of you want to get good money paying job fast .
