I have been a patient of Dr. England for the past 17 years and as a DoD contractor I am usually flying off to some location where it’s not popular to be American. So I value a quality dentist whom I can trust and who knows what he is in store for when I am stateside. He is also aware of the time limitations that I have placed on me.nnI’ve had numerous crowns, four (17 year old) bridges and countless other procedures taken care of to include changing amalgam filings to the porcelain type. I’ve always had X-rays taken and gone over with me, cleanings and gum measurements done. From the moment I sit in the chair I am well taken care of, so despite being war zones and surviving this and that, a great quality dentist matters and Dr England makes sure I’m comfortable from start to finish.nnDr England has explained every procedure to me before he starts, during he constantly checks on me, after I’m already home he calls that night and the next day to make sure everything is going well.nnNever had endured poor quality work, nothing has ever fallen out unless I’ve done something to cause it.

I needed two crowns replaced and I am very afraid of having work done and this couldn't wait any longer. Dr. England and his staff are friendly and I genuinely felt like they cared about me. I was cracking up from the friendly banter by the time my appointment was done. I will go back! I highly recommend Advanced Family Dentistry!!

I had been a patient of Dr. England's for at least 5-6 years. My husband recommended the practice, and I was looking for someone local to where I worked. Scheduling appointments was easy and the staff was friendly. Dr. England was a likable guy. My problem comes within the last 3-4 years as a patient.nnI've had several fillings done by Dr. England. I've also had the same filling done at least 3 times within the past 2-3 years. The filling he replaced had problems from the start. I was told the first time that I complained that he couldn't get the band around the tooth and that was the problem. He fixed it at the next checkup. Then even after that I had problems. I was told to use a sensitive toothpaste. I did that and it still did not help. We've replaced that filling at least two other times since then, and I still have problems. I constantly was getting food stuck in there and the continued problems lowered my confidence in Dr. England.nnAdditionally, I came to the observation that virtually every time that I went in to Dr. England's office, I had a new hygienist. I never got the sense that any of these hygienists were per diem or covering someone's leave. I always got the sense that they just left willingly. In the past 3 years during my regular 6 month cleanings, I never had a hygienist take my measurements for my gums.nnAnd while I have left their practice and found a new dentist, it truly is the findings of the other dentist that has helped to influence the review I am writing today. Keep in mind that the other dentist did not disparage or otherwise belittle my prior dentist. However, my first comprehensive exam was eye opening. The filling that I was having the problem with was quite obviously wrong. There was no contour to the filling, and instead it was flat against the other tooth and that is why I had a problem. Additionally, I had a filling that had a hole in it. I had regular checkups for the last 5 years every 6 months. My last check up was 3 months prior to the comprehensive exam given to me by the new dentist. And again, while the new provider in no way said anything negative about the other provider, he did seem rather surprised by the fact that Dr. England did not mention anything about future work that would be required, as if such work would have been evident during the comprehensive exam I had 3 months prior.nnI have since received a treatment plan from the new dentist, and I need approximately $6300 in work before insurance. It includes 3 crowns and multiple fillings. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I'm sure that Dr. England started off with the best of intentions and likely did a good job at the time I was recommended to him, but I cannot ignore the amount of work that is going to be required in order to get everything back the way that it should be. I feel that he has truly done me a disservice the past few years and I regret not switching practices sooner.
