This is a long overdue review as it happened before COVID-19 hit, but I have to share my poor experiences so that people are aware. It my first ever visit to Minneapolis, and we checked into the hotel having high hopes. Right after we got into our room, we saw that the bed was not made, and there were piles of hair on the bed, and there was trash on the floor. We immediately called the front desk as we were confused why we were given an unclean room. They did not apologize but rather sent us to another room. This time, we got a cleaned room, but there was only 1 pillow. We had to call them again, and they agreed to bring us another pillow after 20 minutes. The staff members we interacted with looked at us like we were crazy for requesting an extra pillow. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed at my experience in Hilton.
The hotel itself is fine. If you are using their shuttle for ease of access to/from the airport I would suggest another hotel than the one on American Blvd. We landed expecting to have a shuttle to be told “they were not running due to Covid reduced hours”. They said we were notified before we departed but we were not. The concierge called me a liar, refused to reimburse my taxi fare, and the manager has not returned my call after 6 weeks. I contacted customer service and the lady I spoke to was extremely helpful and friendly. Still, try another Hilton in the area or another hotel all together.
From the moment we got here we were blown away with how perfect the experience is. They put us on a floor with only 4 other people on it we slept like babies! We are going to florida tomorrow and it feels like hilton helped plan it. Duane that runs the shuttle a head of time made sure we would get from a to b as smooth as possible really went out of his way. We ate at the restaurant and really felt welcomed a nice cozy environment. I didn’t talk to the front counter at all but they were super cool when I did. Honestly not a complaint in the world.
This hotel is close to the airport, Ace car rental and Mall of America. It's very clean. The service was great. The restaurant menu is small, but the food was good.
As others have shared... Hvac controls are that nice... Seems the building wide system is either heat or cool for all, and if it's in heat mode and the room his hot.... Sleep in the hallway. Parts of the hotel seem fresh and clean, but other parts (elevators, doors to room and entrance) really showing wear and tear... Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay again for closeness to airport and MOA ... Just recognizing hvac limitations.
