Creative Inventions (08/07/2019)

I live in a subdivision in New Boston where the streets are very narrow. Landscapers with their equipment block the road from thru traffic. I was unable to get to my driveway. Went around the block to get home. Called police immediately when I got home and reported the landscapers. Twenty minutes later the landscapers left. Thirty- five minute later the police patrol car droves by as landscapers were gone. Can’t imagine if the situation was urgent, would there have been more concern.

I got a speeding ticket today. I’m from out of state, and had to pay $100 just to drive away with my license because I didn’t feel like coming back for court. The officer was so friendly, and even told me to drive safely after handing me back my license. 10/10 would get pulled over by him again.

Was stopped and detained for a bit today and I have had a run in or two with the police in my day and never seen such professional policing... I couldn't even be mad.. #yougotme

The Huron police show up quickly, I give them that. However their attitude (one senior Officer in particular) on domestic calls is very disheartening. One of the Dynamic Duo I've experienced liked to grin and tell joke's during interviewing the victim, which nobody found amusing, even his partner. He acted as if the situation was not at all serious or frightening, did not let the woman finish a sentence, discounted her testimony, and seemed to enjoy being condescending. He must be even worse out of uniform, his poor wife. His younger partner acted professionally and seemed embarrassed by the senior officer's conduct. I felt sorry for him because he is probably forced to have to act like he likes that douche bag on every call they do together. I really wish him luck. As far as 'Officer-Mr-know-it-all- Jokey McJokester-power-trippy-stuck-in-the-1950s-mindset' ...He definitely needs retraining, or just to retire. The rest of the Huron Township officers seem to be upstanding, helpful and respectful in their conduct while dealing with the public, and I appreciate their service.

I was dropping someone off at Detroit Metro from Toledo for Uber and was going into a gas station that was one way. The cop was sitting there doing nothing and tickets me. He did give me a lesser ticket so that was nice but I'll never stop in that town on my way back again. If I had ran a red light or speeding I would understand and would take the ticket but this was a petty ticket to get revenue from out-of-towners. I intend I'm writing a letter to the mayor and the police department and to the local paper.
