They've just reopened with limited hours after a major renovation. The interior was a complete surprise. First opened in 1969, the library was the height of mid-century modern design. Over the years, it looked worn and was full of insensitive efforts at remodeling. With this sensitive renovation the place looks close to its original appearance, but updated for the twenty-first century. They've thoughtfully rearranged every area on the main floor, including an expanded children's area, magazines, and what seems to be more stacks for the non-fiction books. It is a pleasure just to browse in this beautiful building. I look forward to seeing the rest of the library, once we get past the pandemic.
Only offering curbside pickup at this time. Very convenient and friendly employees. Hope curbside continues even when the library is open inside again.
