This park had new colorful equipment for the children to play on...The only thing is the city must've miss calculated how many child there R in this area...It was so OVER crowded w/children..There's so much land there and so little equipment for the child to play on. They need at least 3 more full sets of playground equipment to accommodate the community needs. And add one more basketball court.
One of our favorite local parks. Kids of all ages there having fun. Offers things that you don't see often. Fenced in. Soft ground. Great park.
Adorable park with a nice little skatepark. The skatepark is a bit small though and a lot of the empty space could be used.
Optimist Park has definitely improved over the last 2 years due to the improvements that have been done from the city parks and rec department. I was almost a part of the team that did the work over there, as I work for Lakeside Cemetary, but for all those who were involved, it was a great idea, and a very ambitious project with great results. I haven't really been to that area in a while, but I hope for anybody who uses it, that they have a great time using the new pieces of equipment that were set up.
Big kids come to the park and have no respect for little kids play ground equipment or the parents.
