Thought it was really pretty. Area was clean. Wish they had changing spots thou in the bathroom. Bathroom was really clean too. Due to high water levels most of the beach is gone. But still enough room in certain areas to have a beach set up. Great place to hunt for fossils and pretty rocks.
Nice park. The beach was really small. Might be due to the high water. If you want to get in the lake it's fine but not a good beach. The picnic area is large with plenty of room for big gatherings.
The beach area size is much larger this year. Not off the breakwall, (I didn't go over there) this is down the first path inside the water side pkg lot.
Rocky but beautiful, the water is so nice and you can walk past all the rocks out to the sand bar. My husband and two small boys had a great time
We usually love the state park there is lots of grassy area with grills and picnic tables for eating. There is also a lot of trees to provide shady areas for lounging. They provide volleyball nets and have a suitable bathroom. However this year the beach is pretty much gone so if your looking for sand or to set up waterside this probably isn't your best choice.
