The arboretum is a great place to walk around on the gravel trails you will find many students here during the school year using the benches and tables, playing frisbee in the open areas, and relaxing in hammocks between the trees. The arboretum is also attached to a few trails that run through the woods if you are up for more of an adventurous hike.

Would give no stars. Professors absolutely do not care about students. They do not even make an effort to get to know you. Essentially, you are a social security number in a lecture hall. Administration seems more concerned with the ways they can take your money than providing the best education for their students. NURSING STUDENTS BEWARE: Unless you achieve a 4.0 GPA I can guarantee you will not make it into the program. The nursing program here only cares about those who are at the top of their academics and seem to forget that bedside manner is just as important as being able to successfully complete the coursework. This school's total lack of diversity and the cliques make it nearly impossible to make friends and form study groups. Furthermore, the school seems more concerned with the statistics of their D2 sports teams than they are with how they prepare students for their careers. If you are a top notch athlete, I think you will fit in quite well. If you are an ordinary joe like myself, I would suggest you go elsewhere because nobody here will think of you any farther as a social security number providing funding.

Grand Valley is a fantastic university. Gorgeous campus but a smaller more intimate feel than a big ten campus. Staff truly cares about kids. Class sizes are smaller allowing students more interaction with their professors. Clean, modern, beautiful facilities. They are pouring money into upgrades on the main campus as well as the downtown Grand Rapids health sciences campus. This university is a rising star for sure. Check it out!

Today (8/2/18), I visited this university with a friend of mine to see what it offers. We signed up for a tour with a tour guide to check it out and honestly it looks promising. Honestly, I've been to three universities so far and this is the only one I see myself going to. The infrastructure of the school looks like it was built just yesterday, but most of the dorms don't have A/C, only a select few. I also like the size of the campus in that it isn't too big or small. Many food options are on the campus and tuition isn't too expensive. What I don't like is that some parts of its campus is located in Grand Rapids and commuting could be tough during the winter time. I may not be a laker right now, but perhaps a future laker.

Worst 4 years of my life. Don't waste you're time here unless you want the lowest form of education offered in this state. The campus may seem nice but, at a closer look you'll find that the administration doesn't care about anything other than making money.
