Excellent educational opportunity! Examination high school in Detroit Public schools Community District. Serves grades 9-12. Great academic program including IB. Includes sports such as basketball, football, and baseball. Girls and boys teams available. Highly regarded in the city.

My son will be a senior this coming school year. I have no complaints regarding Renaissance. The curriculum is challenging, lots of homework, the school is relatively safe and the teachers care. My son has maintained a cumulative 3.8 GPA during his time at Renaissance. I highly recommend Renaissance to parents if it is a good fit for your child.

Renaissance high school is a fantastic school with a lot of opportunities however this a not a school for students with excuses. Excuses are tools of the weak and incompetent used to build monuments of nothingness, those who excel at excuses seldom excel at anything except excuses. This is a marvelous school and some kids seem pressured, confident, prideful or overloaded, but as a Renaissance student I can say firsthand that renaissance doesn't just turn its back on us in our time of need. Their are a variety of student-run programs to help you cope with your problems also we have a great administration team and guidance counselors, and the fine arts department is booming our symphonic band has just returned from playing at the prestigious Carnegie Hall. All in all renaissance is a spectacular school.

Of course I love this school. My daughter has been here since her 9th grade year and will be graduating this year. She's had a positive experience so far. Teachers have been very responsive when needed. Overall it has been good learning environment for her.

My son currently attends Renaissance. He stayed on honor roll in Middle school and is a pretty intelligent young man. I choose what I thought would be the best high school for him, but I sure was wrong. The Parent Portal is a joke. I've tried to make an appointment to see my son's teacher, no response. I've only received one reply back to six messages this school year. I am almost home schooling him to keep up on the information that is barely covered in some classes. The number of power outages is ridiculous. I hate! HATE! that I picked this school. My daughters went to Martin Luther King and I never had a headache. Whatever happened to the teachers that cared about your children.
