We have an order that was promised before Christmas. When I asked about the non-delivery, this was the reply that I received. You decide whether this is good customer service or not:nYour book was shipped in early December. I would think by mid March, it should show up. If not, let me know. We have had packages delivered to Australia that alas took 6 months!nSorry? It should show up? I will not be ordering through Fine Books again.
I placed a simple inquiry into a book, asking for photos of the covers. Before the proprietor could reply to me, I had to leave unexpectedly to execute a family member’s will. I came back home two weeks later and checked my email to find this from this bookstore “As you did not have the courtesy to respond to our emails, this Item has been put back on the open shelves and is no longer being held for you. Any further emails you tender will be likewise unanswered.”nnHow extraordinarily rude. I sent off a request for information ONLY. I did NOT at any point request that he put this on hold. He chose to put it on hold, he decided without knowing me or my situation half way around the world that I should be available to reply to his email, and he worked himseof into an apparent frenzy about it and then tried to make me, a potential customer, wrong for all that he did to himself on his own.nnAfter reading the reviews I realize his rudeness did not just extend to me. Shame on this proprietor.

David is highly knowledgeable and professional, but warm and cordial, too. You might say he’s an expert in the worlds of books and people. He has been an enormous help in selling my late father’s extensive book collection, and he’s acknowledged the emotional weight of that task. I trust him implicitly and recommend him highly as a buyer or a seller.
