I took my taxes to David Smith after having had them done by a tax attorney for years. After reviewing my previous filings he discovered my tax deductions for retirement contributions had been omitted by the previous preparers. He refilled my previous years taxes as far back as he was able and I received the tax returns I deserved and had earned. I can't thank him enough for the good job he has done.

We met with Wayne Vice for our taxes. We moved from Florida to Kentucky toward the end of the year and my wife worked for the same company while living in both states. There is no state tax in Florida and her W2 showed her State tax amount paid correct for our time in Kentucky but showed her annual income as one for Florida and Kentucky on her W2. Wayne said his computer program showed it as an issue due to the state tax not reflecting enough as if her entire income was made in Kentucky and we were going to have to pay much more to the state though we didn’t live here. Wayne said he would fix it and he would call us in the next few days.nnHere comes the fun part. We never received a call. A week after our meeting, I started calling. Over the course of a week, I called his desk extension twice and left a voicemail. I called his mobile phone 3 times and left a voice mail. I called Savannah (assistant at the front desk) 3 times and she passed on that I called. No answer. My wife received a notice that the report was ready and she would get a call back soon. No call back for hours. We were over it and called to discontinue our ties and business here. At that time, he was finally reachable and packed up our papers to be picked up before business close that day. This was my first time using a CPA and was very disappointed. Taxes are stressful enough without the looming possibility of having to pay extra money you don’t actually owe. Savannah apologized for the inconvenience and was very courteous but after this experience, I can not recommend this business to anyone.
