Mason Middle School

Just went to orientation so didn’t get to see much, but was good from what I saw. Hope to get to see more when orientation starts for the new year. Then I will have a better idea of the school.

Now that my kids are out of there the truth is Waterford chasing after the school of choice money has allowed their greed to affect the education of their kids. No one will admit but the influx of kids from outside Waterford has lowered the bar even more. i found caring staff but hands are tied. In my opinion kids were already years behind with no chance of catching up. To save money, schools were closed and kids are now bused across district not based on closeness but by political boundaries esp. for high school. i had three honor students. when the older two went to collage they still floundered in math. My son request pre-calc and was denied because he had an over all B+ in math the prev. year. He was told he could not take it because they only had 1 class and his grade did not cut the mark.This automatically eliminates the chance to take all available math courses needed for advance math in high school due to pre-requisites. After several visits and challenging the teacher he was allowed in and aced it. Some day we have to wake up. If the kids are unskilled they have to be held back. When we pass them on to high school they just keep getting pushed under the rug. Decisions have to be made. Keeping the thugs in school serve no purpose, just lowers the bars for everyone else.Not blaming the staff, they are stuck with the politics and parents who them selves don't care.

This school does not have any type of structure! There is bullying here no one follows up on the issues. The front office are a bunch of racist old women!! It is predominantly whites so theses children act like they can do what the want! I'm reporting everyone in the front office!!!!!!! Blacks don't need to send their child to this damn school!!!!nHorrible horrible horrible!!!!

I love the school except for the fights over stupid things........ the students treat the teachers so bad and think that they are better then everyone and they don't treat enyone right.......... some teachers and be a little mean because some of the kids from the previous class are so rude and make them made so when she/he teaches topi they are upset.

This school is great. Its my first year here and so far I am loving it. Except for the homework
