Dr J is awesome. He's always looked out for our dogs. Especially our boy Lennon, who he help through his multi-year battle with lymphoma. Very knowledgeable and never suggests heavy handed approaches. He's got one of my favorite deadpan and dry senses of humor on any human being. His staff is super friendly and dedicated. Take your pets here.

I was looking for a no frills vet that wouldn't take advantage of us and help my cat Mickey, that I got from a shelter, who had a fractured canine and needed surgery. First of all, they got me in QUICK for a consult which was fantastic. Secondly, the vet went out of his way to move some surgeries around to get my cat in for surgery. Thirdly, the prices were VERY FAIR and affordable with the quoted price of the surgery being the actual amount paid. The vet is honest which I find very hard to find nowadays. The only complaint I have is that I was treated very rudely by one of the vet technicians when I called saying I needed to come pick up a new antibiotic since we mistakenly left it out of the fridge(I'm sure it was out of care for my cat though). Otherwise great experience here and everyone else was friendly. My cat Mickey is doing a lot better and recovering well. Thank you North Suburban Vet!

I highly highly reccomend this veterinary clinic. With Covid, vet offices are only seeing your your babies curbside. Dr Jaxtheimer took the time to call me back at 7:00 pm and spoke for 30 minutes about our options for Bo's accute onset of allergies. What a genuine man. Wasn't about money. Was all about what I can do without spending a fortune. Gave me great suggestions for a diet and he is going to research more. I am so ever grateful for his kindness.
