An especially meaningful healing I had through prayer in Christian Science happened when I was young, and it gave me back the ability to have a normal life, a normal adulthood. Whenever I enter a Christian Science Reading Room, I think about how many healings like mine are verified and shared in the literature available there. I'm also reminded of the immensity of the gift we have in Christ Jesus' life, teaching, and healing work, which is very much alive in the 21st century. And I am humbled by Mary Baker Eddy's selfless work in bringing forward her understanding of that gift. Gratefully I tell you that a visit to this friendly and inviting Christian Science Reading Room can be well worth it.
Ask them if they have any literature relating to Mary Baker Eddy’s late life morphine addiction or details on how she stole all her teachings in the late 1800s from a meta physicist named Dr Quimby or statistics on how many CS children have died because they were denied medical care. When they start carrying literature that shines a true light on this church, instead of Mother Church propaganda - then it will be worthwhile to visit.
Beautiful & organized group of people. Very relaxing atmosphere.
