The trail itself is actually pretty nice. It's great for a leisurely ride or walk. The areas it goes through are what it make it what it is. You get a lot of great scenery and great places to stop. The only downsides, it can flood over after rains and has several blind corners. So if you're flying on your bike you could come smack into someone. Worth checking out the entire trail!

The bike trail in Muskegon is beautiful ! I would recommend that you launch your bikes at the North Muskegon trail head located across from the Rite Aid store on Lake Street. Then proceed to the boardwalk that parallels the causeway past the power plant. The trail will take you over rail bridges to downtown Muskegon and Heritage Park. You can make stops along the way for lunch and drinks at places like the Tipsy Toad .Then , on to the Lakeside area where we often visit the Marine Tap Room for a pizza or Prime Rib sandwich. The trail continues to Pete Marquette Park where you can stop at The Deck or at Dockers for Sustinence ! Views of Muskegon Lake, Lake Michigan and the sand dunes with abundant wildlife including the other bike riders will keep you amazed ! See ya on the trail !

Great bike ride. Take a detour through town. You can now ride from Pier Marquette Beach to Hart, Michigan!
