I'm surprised myself that a library gets 3 stars, but it's true. The #1 reason I can't give 5 stars is because the staff we've encountered here have not been the best. One lady in particular is always extremely rude and has the worst attitude towards patrons. I just don't understand, if you hate people, then why do you work in a library? She has snapped at my son more than once for asking a simple question (he's 7, is the library not the place to go for knowledge anymore?? I didn't know asking questions was against the rules!). She slams the date stamp onto the books, most of the time missing entirely where the date SHOULD go. (When you stamp Aug 1 above July 27 and it's only July 20, I'd say that's a bit confusing). And then when they call to tell you that the book is overdue (since you don't know the actual due date) they are extremely rude and short with you. What happened to FRIENDLY reminders? People forget things, it's not like we're trying to keep the books forever, I don't understand why the phone calls have to be so rude!nOn top of unfriendly staff it is very odd to walk into a library and hear loud voices. Like raries are supposed to be quiet places. But apparently not Fowlerville? The employees will yell across the room to each other, or even just loudly talk at the front. It's the patrons as well, allowing their children to yell, or having loud conversations in the middle of the room. It's definitely not a normal library setting.

Although they didn't have the exact group that I was looking for, the staff was extremely helpful and considerate. I understand that they'll be opening to a new, larger building. I can't wait to see what they'll do with that.
