Lapeer County Friend-The Court

I'd give them zero stars if I could. I've been with the father of my child since OUR son was born. And now after being married for 2 years they still won't close our case or write off back child support. Not to mention I've lived in florida for 3 years and they continuously send mail to my old michigan address. They have proof of my new address, new number and a copy of our marriage license yet just took $10,000 of our tax money. I cannot get reissued a card, I'm being spun in circles. They took money that was going to be used for my CHILD. My case worker will not call me when I request to speak with her because she's never in the office. And last time I called and requested a resend on my case closure paperwork, they sent me some itemized sheet of what my HUSBAND owes me. Their communication with the card company is horrible. I've contacted way2go for a new card with new name change and they said they sent me one yet had the wrong address. No apartment number and 1 number off. This court system is a joke and if I don't get resolvement, actions will be put into course. This is affecting us from living life. It's affecting my husband's credit score. It's holding us back from building our home for our CHILD. You're doing no favors for my family. You're hurting us more than anything. What you're doing should be illegal. And the last time I spoke to your office representative, she had stated none of my paper work has been submitted electronically even though I submitted it in December of 2019. My childs money is floating in your system. This whole system is loaded with criminals. Embezzlement, fraud, cops sleeping with hookers in hotel rooms. You all are disgusting and should be under investigation

The caseworker Courtney and the Emil referee both truly are horrible at there jobs and should be terminated from there jobs and duties...

I've had to inforce unpaid alimony/child support. I found this FOC to be on top of the situation, and complied with the court order to hold the payer accountable for their responsibility.

What a joke instead of making copies at the courthouse they make you drive to a library and pay for copies and then make you drive them back to the courthouse.

Friend of the court is a joke. No one ever wants to help you nicely. Referee's are a joke the push cases though without listing. Don't go here move to genesse county.
