Mike's Pizzeria and Tavern

First time Detroit-style taster here!nnWe were visiting nearby when we decided to grab some pizza as our late dinner. Mike’s, being around the corner, was our ideal distance.nnOur order was a double sauce, no cheese (sorry, we have lactose issues!) supreme pizza. After 20 minutes, we arrived to pickup only to find that our order had swapped instructions, double cheese no sauce! The cashier and pizza maker immediately rectified the situation with their positive hospitality and friendly composure - they went to make a new pizza and offered to deliver it to our vehicle as we waited. Sure enough, 10-15 minutes later and 50% off our initial cost, we got the pizza.nnThe first detail we noticed was how beautifully prepared it was - the ingredients were blended and balanced where each bite felt exactly like the last. The second detail was the base of the crust being slightly undercooked to the point where the crust looked and felt like mozzarella. The latter is likely a result of feeling the need to rush our order since it had to be remade. However, the rest of the crust was perfect.nnThis is a safe five star corner pizzeria that is sure to satisfy the whole party - that and the great customer service easily ranks it above the dominos and pizza huts. The undercooked dough is the only reason why I went for four stars, but I believe our order was an anomaly!

By far the BEST gluten free crust around and I’ve had a lot! Great, friendly staff and service. Gets busy on the weekends, so give yourself some time, but well worth any wait you may have!

Mikes Pizzeria & Tavern is one of the best places to get a VARIETY of food. One of my personal favorites is the Chicago deep dish pizza! It is unmatched! Not to mention they have the best customer service and Mike himself is there alot of the time and he is the friendliest and most accommodating person you would every meet. I personally HIGHLY recommend this place!

GF and regular crust pizzas are fabulous and full of abounding flavors! This place was buzzing with business and customer service did not suffer at all. SUPPORT THIS LOCAL BUSINESS when you can, you'll be glad you did. We WILL frequent Mike's Pizzeria and Tavern. Thank you for a superb dinner!

Today was my first visit to Mike's. Mike himself took my order, gave great food recommendations, and made sure to personally thank me for my business before Ieft. Other staff were SO pleasant. We ordered wings and waffle fries. Both were delicious and we got a homeade chocolate chunk cookie for dessert. We will definitely be back to support a local small business!
