Called BOSS because water heater was not working. Was told that it was $150 to assess but not informed that additional hourly fees would be applied to that assessment. BOSS representative arrived at the house, looked at the water heater and realized they did not have the appropriate tools to assess the unit. Left and returned a half hour later with tools. After quick inspection, said water heater appeared to be in good condition and the problem was the fuse in my circuit breaker and I needed to fix that. After they left, I bought supplies to change fuse only to find that the circuit breaker was working just fine. Called BOSS back and they sent same service person out. They verified that it was t the circuit breaker and then looked at it for couple of minutes, called their boss and then told me tgat the upper heating element was out and needed to be replaced. Then said that BOSS does not replace heating elements in water heaters because they can’t “guarantee” the work. Said I needed to find a different company to do this repair. When I asked why, the service man said he didn’t know - that is what his boss said. After leaving, I had another company come to replace the upper heating element which turned out to be in fine working condition. Turns out it was the lower heating element that went out. All in all, I had to pay BOSS $240 for 2 wrong assessments and then pay another company to actually do the repair

I had Gary as a tech and he was super awesome he had alot of knowledge when I was asking him questions. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for hvac work.

Boss has done the following work for us: Shop furnace, 22 BTU generator, hot water heater, re-plumbed almost the whole house, roughed out for future bathroomnThey are working on putting in: gas fireplace insert, and mitsubishi air conditioning unit, washing machine over flow protection tray.nnSarge and Jerry (and the whole crew) show up on time (even a little early), work a full day (which I have found to be very rare with other workers on our house), do what they say (and change it without drama if you tell them it's wrong or not what you wanted), everything works when they're done or they don't leave. I HIGHLY recommend this company!!!!
