My 5 star rating is based off of the company and our guide. Kyle was awesome!nnKayaking pictured rocks is an amazing experience!! Being so close to something so big and beautiful that was created over millions of years ago by glaciers is breathtaking! We would have received more value from the trip if the weather was much warmer.nnA few things to consider: we went when it was 45 degrees easily in late Sept. You do get wet (so dress in layers with clothes that are water wicking/dry fit). I would suggest water shoes too because you’ll have to walk in wet beach sand. Having some kayaking experience is helpful but not needed. the guide does not babysit you but will check on you often. It’s NOT easy to tip but it is a strenuous workout. For 3+ hours you are paddling mostly against the wind in choppy water.

Great Boat Captain Dave! Have not had a chance to go this year yet but will be soon. Going around Gran Island is a great trip! You're way out in Lake Superior but hugging the edge of the island. Very nice crew on a huge pontoon with a small group of people. Very Fun!

I had a wonderful time kayaking! I thought every staff member was very warm, knowledgeable and very sweet. Trent showed where we could see an old ship wreck, it would have been fun to get the history on it. He did give us wonderful this bits about everywhere we visited. Also, super easy to socially distance and everyone wore masks when on the bus or off the kayak. I hope to one day do their hike and paddle to pictures rocks-weather willing!

We did the 9am tour. It was supposed to be a 6 hr trip but got cut to a 3 hr trip due to small watercraft advisory. We asked our guide Cole for some ideas for hiking/waterfalls since we had more time. He told us about Dead River Falls which was an amazing hike and experience. So huge shout out to Cole for make our yaking trip awesome! And for the hiking recommendation which was an amazing experience.

Picturesque cliff faces along an easy 3 or 6 hour paddle. The staff was fun and informative. We took advantage of their in-house dog kennels. Well done!
