I keep getting package delivered notices without actually receiving my package. I usually have to call Amazon customer support who usually tells me that my package is missing. Is the service at the usps actually that bad that blatantly lying to customers to cover their delays is common?

Had a package misdelivered and it's still missing. I tried to call and I was waiting for nearly 50 minutes before I gave up and ended the call. They don't even have the automated option for a missing package. Don't waste your time calling because you won't get anywhere, just go in. I couldn't be more disappointed.nnOn a more pleasant note the staff in the Waterville center are all kind and helpful .just never call and expect the same kind of service. They need to ditch it or improve it.nnEdit: Turns out the message telling me my package was delivered was wrong and they never even dropped it off. o had to go to my local post office and it was still there. Doesn't change my rating.
