We had the best time on our 2 hour morning cruise with Sail Portland! Pleasant conversation and mimosas were flowing accompanied by the beautiful Maine coastline as a backdrop. Did I mention that this cruise was BYOB?! Stock up on your favorite local treats and bring them aboard! Captain Ian and his first mate, Keith, were seasoned professionals and had a lot of helpful tips to getting the most out of your visit to Portland. I'd certainly cruise with Sail Portland again and can't wait to return to Portland!

This was a last minute choice for us, but it ended up being just perfect. A beautiful boat with a friendly and knowledgeable captain. Highly recommend!!

I can’t tell you how wonderful this experience was. I 100% recommend you book a sailing trip and if you do it has to be with this small business. Ian is the owner and the captain of Sail Portland Maine. He answers calls, curates food and beverage from other local small businesses, is a great conversationalist, and a fantastic sailor. There are other sailing experiences in Portland and I can tell you the large boats will cram you in like sardines and the experience is just not personal. If that’s for you, go for it. But if you want a peaceful, intimate experience you’ve got to go with Sail Portland Maine with captain Ian!

It is my families first time visiting Portland, Maine and we needed something fun to do. We found this boat online and the morning of our trip, it was gloomy. Regardless of the weather, it was still enjoyable. Captain Ian was quick to respond and gave us directions when we called him. He is a great conversationalist, very knowledgeable, and kind. We had a great time and it felt like we were in the boat with a long time friend. I would highly recommend- especially those who are afraid of boat rides- this boat doesn’t have many bumps & is smooth sailing. Would love to come again on another visit. Can’t say enough good things, don’t look anywhere else for a fun outdoors activity!
