Great place! We took a weekend trip to explore the city and we couldn't have been happier.nnThe three-course breakfast was wonderful, and we got to chat with interesting people at the breakfast table from all over the world.nnOur room was large and airy. The fireplace was a nice thing to have, even in April. The decoration of the house is delightfully eclectic (like the people who stay there, I guess.) Despite the couples coming and going, the house itself is very quiet. Great music plays in the dining room, where there's a tea service left out for you all night.nnLike I said, we were there to explore. One host, Henry, not only gave us recommendations but he also gave us a little map. Very helpful.nnI would definitely stay here again and I would absolutely recommend it.

Nicolette greets you warmly and is very helpful. The breakfast and coffee were yummy and plentiful. Nicolette graciously handled many dietary restrictions. The reason for 4 stars is two-fold. The walkways were covered with ice in many spots. Also the room we stayed in (#7) desperately needed a thorough cleaning lots of dust, dead bug on bathroom mirror, etc. The kind of stuff that makes you wonder what you can't see.

Nicolette is the bomb, she made us so welcome on first night then closed our stay with her breakfast and wrap up of our adventures. Room 4 great!! Bathroom a bit cold but we live in a 200 year old house so you deal with February in Maine. Highly recommend this Inn and location very central.

We had a wonderful weekend here at the Pomegranate Inn. The large front doors welcome you to an inviting foyer, sitting room and breakfast room. Eclectic decor and artwork provides you with a lot to look at and explore. Nicolette welcomed us, and could not have been more welcoming - getting to know our hopes for our stay and providing suggestions of the best spots for it all. They were all fantastic too! We stayed in room seven which was in the carriage house. Vibrant walls, comfortable bed, cozy fireplace and a large bathroom made this room a wonderful escape for the weekend. Everything was clean and fresh. Be sure to stay for breakfast - you won’t be disappointed!nnWe have already recommended the Pomegranate Inn to others and look forward to our next stay!

Lovely, quirky, not so little B&B in the heart of Portland, Maine on a quiet side street. Local contemporary art work adorns all rooms of this gracious old manse. Wonderful eclectic decorations as well. Zach and his lovely wife Nicolette were wonderful hosts. Zach puts together a lovely little tapas breakfast, small bites of everything. Highly recommended.
