Sterling Police Department

They need to clean house there’s only about a handful if that of decent officers and higher ups that are employed here. Even dispatch is rude and unprofessional. I do not trust the STPD. I will never call for assistance with anything ever again. Had Officer Messer come to my home last year inquiring about a hit and run. He claimed he seen my car had damage and he had a feeling it was my vehicle so he illegally detained my vehicle, damaged my vehicle to falsely accuse me of the hit and run by breaking off a piece of my tail light and unlawfully obtained my insurance policy number to give to the owner of the hit and run vehicle. Their vehicle was hit in May if 2018 and office messer showed up to my home November of 2018. Accusing me of the accident. I’ve been dealing with my insurance and the police department still to this day about this situation. It’s been a nightmare. Not to mention 2 months ago I called because my vehicle was damaged by being backed into. I chad an officer come to the scene and see the damage to my license plate and the rest end of the other persons vehicle. He said I talked to the guy he seems to not be lying about hitting your vehicle and already having that damage. I’d like the officer to explain to me how I’ve never had damage to the front of my vehicle until that night then. I’m still waiting to here about my vehicle being hit it’s been almost 3 months now. I don’t expect to hear anything from this incompetent department.
