I work in the consulting industry and rent cars on a consistent basis when I travel for business. I have been renting from Avis/Budget (Northbrook, IL location) with Amir Merchant as the representative for the past year or so. Amir has always provided me with excellent service and has even booked rental cars for me on very short notice. He has always been available when picking up or dropping off rentals and gets back to me immediately when I call. I am also able to drop off keys at this location after hours. Whenever I have local work around the Chicago, IL area, I always try to book a rental through the Northbrook, IL location because of the exceptional service.

The agency did not provide a clean and safe automobile. When I asked for a different car, I was told none were available. When I had the car replaced at another agency several days later, I received a better car. When I returned the car to the original agency and told them of all of the problems with the original car and stated that I felt that they were lax in checking out their cars for cleanliness and safety, I did not get much of a response. I was returning a much cleaner, safer and better car obtained at another agency. I asked for a credit for all of my problems and none was offered. I would not rent at this agency in the future.

Horrible customer service. Horrible customer service phoneline. Horrible customer service via social media. Budget shouldn't mean bad service. They will give you whatever car they want to give regardless of your reservation. Good luck.
