Neil Wolin

We’ve been seeing Neil for a few years now. He’s outstanding.nnSince I became self-employed and my husband’s income became more complex due to the military, we knew we needed to hire someone. Neil came highly recommended from a friend of ours, another small business owner.nnWe have found Neil to be detail oriented and meticulous, with a great understanding of how to make tax season as financially painless as possible.nnI highly recommend him, especially if you are a small business owner or work for yourself. He’s absolutely worth every penny. Book your appointment in advance, there is a reason it’s so difficult to get on his schedule- he’s excellent.

We have been going to Neil for years, he is extremely helpful and very knowledgeable in regards to our tax deductions. His office also sends out annual reminders on paperwork needed when filing which is very helpful.

If you value your sanity, you will stay away. I have (well, had) been with Neil for quite a few years and the first few were great. Good communication, he seemed to do a good job, no problems.nnThe last few years have been a disaster, particularly this past year (2016). The most recent years prior were beset by terrible communication, like calling and/or emailing many, many times before getting any sort of response. Deadlines would loom and I would hear nothing. From '13-'15 it was really, really frustrating, but ultimately everything got done on time(ish) and seemed to be overall OK.nnThis past year, however, I found out that Neil completely neglected to realize that I had sold a home for a loss in 2013, which would have negated the $500 yearly installment payback of the 2008 First-Time Homebuyer Credit. This means that for the past 3 years I have been paying that credit back unnecessarily, to the tune of $1500 total dollars. When I called and emailed to get his help on how to properly rectify the problem that *he* created? Nothing. Not a peep. I'm out of state so I could not physically get to him and despite repeated phone calls and emails I could not get him live. I eventually had to figure out what to do on my own and have wasted HOURS of my own time cleaning up his mess.nnReally terrible service. Super annoying. Stay away at all costs. Also, for what it's worth, if you look up other reviews of him on other sites, you will see other people saying the same thing. This isn't just one disgruntled person.

Reviews that leave details and very long explanations indicate truth and honesty. General and vague reviews are usually dishonest or just lazy kind of like Neil Wolin lol.

We've been working with Neil for years and could not be more pleased. Very happy to give him 5 stars!!!!
