I can’t say enough about the good care that my Mom is getting at Heritage Health Care in Elgin. She’s been there for about 3 years now. It is a clean & well maintained facility. Very organized! They always call me if there is any change in her condition & if the Dr. ordered a new prescription for her. The staff is very friendly & they genuinely care about the patients. They have activities & always encourage the patience to participate. My Mom asked me a long time ago to never place her in a Nursing Home & now that she has to be in a home, I was so worried that she’d beg me to take her out of there. She has never once asked me to get her out of there. It’s such a relief to know that she’s getting the best of care & I don’t have to constantly worry about her. I highly recommend Heritage Health Care in Elgin, Illinois. Thank you Heritage!!!

I moved my mother here in Feb. of 2017. I cannot even begin to express how wonderful and AMAZING the staff are here~and how well they not only care for my mom, but treat her with dignity and respect. I feel so blessed to have found Heritage. There is absolutely no comparison to the other assisted living home she was living in Aurora (where she fell and broke her hip). Since moving her to Heritage, she has shown remarkable improvement in her speech and in her ability to feed herself, plus she's always happy. It speaks volumes to me that many of the staff have been working here for 20+ years like a 'family'. That is unprecedented in this type of industry. Heritage has scheduled routine care plan meetings with me -- I'm always up-to-date on Mom's health issues, medications, vaccinations, physical therapy, etc. They even plan special dinner events about 3 times per year for residents and families, great food and live entertainment! I don't usually post reviews, but I felt that Heritage deserves the very highest level of praise. I want to thank each and every staff member at Heritage for all they do for mom. I am so impressed with each one of you; you treat my mom like I treat my mom and I am so extremely grateful.

The facility is very clean and it definitely passed the smell test. The caregivers are also very nice and they do a great job. My mom was there for 6 months and I believe she was well cared for. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the food could use some improvement.

My mom was at this facility on two different occasions. The first time she broke her neck and the second time she broke her leg. Both times my family members and I felt very much at ease knowing what great care she was given. All the nurses, aids and therapists were extremely attentive and they developed a relationship with her. I always felt I could ask questions and everyone was willing to listen and help. My mom is a stickler for cleanliness and she was always more than satisfied with the cleanliness. Each day she was fully dressed and even had on a little make-up. Sadly, my mom developed pneumonia and had to be hospitalized. The hospital released her even though she had developed other infections. I know my mom was grateful to pass at Heritage as it was second best to home. Many of the staff members were truly upset by her death and very comforting to us as a family. I just wanted to express my gratitude!

My mother has been a resident at Heritage Health since 2012. The facility is clean and very well maintained. The nurses, CNAs, Activities, and Administrative staff are the most thoughtful and compassionate people I have ever meet. Any concerns we have are addressed quickly and to our satisfaction.nAfter visiting several facilities, we chose Heritage Health because of the friendliness of the staff and the 5 star rating they have from the state.nI have been on the Family Counsel for the past 4 years. Family and Residents are able to voice their opinions on all operations, good or bad, at Heritage Health. This is their home and their voices are heard and acted upon.
