I've been to this museum before COVID and I have to say it's very impressive. I'd go so far as to say it's the Field Museum Jr. Talking with staff at the time, there is supposedly going to be a change in some of the exhibits, displays and programs. They've yet to prove me wrong and I can't wait to return soon and see their progress
I always enjoy visiting this museum when my grandchildren visit from Canada. I don't get around that well so its small size is ideal. Great for learning about the Illinois area, and I get something new every time. Kids also enjoy the small gift shop.
Very nice small museum to bring the children too. Also very affordable. They old lady though could have a better attitude with the children. She gets bothered by them playing in the play area (which is meant for them to play in).
This is a very affordable museum of natural history. They showcase extinct specimens as well as many local specimens. My daughter LOVES the dinosaur skull and the children's area.
This is a lovely little museum focusing mostly on natural history with some regional history in the middle of Lords park. The building is beautiful, and while the exhibits are a little threadbare in places, they have some cool stuff to explore. Its an inexpensive and educational way to spend a half hour or so.
