Such a great piece of history that is being saved for future generations so they can appreciate the history of the Elgin Fire Department!nThe building has been newly cleaned and looks great on the inside with all sorts very cool pieces old Fire Fighter gear. And don't forget about the Fire Trucks!
My camera club went here one blustery night in November. We got full-access to the place. I ran into James up in the attic and he was a wealth of information. There is a ton of gear here. Some of is seems bone-stock and much has been restored. Plenty of cool stuff. You do not have to have an interest in firefight to find this place cool. Not juts for kids, either.
The volunteers to a great job keeping this place in shape.
