The organization, structure, and presentation of study material in terms of the video lectures was fantastic for me. The flash cards I know are helpful for some, but not for me. They have tons of information, but I just don't absorb information in that format.nThe practice exams are invaluable. I cannot state that strongly enough. There are now several versions for each exam, and you can track your progress by taking them multiple times.nThe additional option to join a guided study group was fantastic for me. It really helped me focus, have a schedule to follow, connect with like-minded people in a small study group, and have the ability to ask/answer questions along the way.nnI've had fantastic results with the study group. I've passed four exams in four months, first try. Can't recommend this program enough for those willing to put the time in and stay on schedule.

I paid for the lecture and practice test features to help me study for the ARE 5.0. I found Black Spectacles to be worth the cost of the subscription. I have passed two exams so far with the help of Black Spectacles.nnBlack Spectacles has three features which sold the service for me:n1. The ability to take practice tests and study on a cell phonen2. The practice exams which accurately mimic the format of the real ARE when taken on a desktop computer.n3. The quality of information & accuracy of study materials matching up with test information..nnI found the practice tests incredibly helpful. The practice tests are formatted exactly like the real ARE tests which helped get me familiar with the format and cut down on test day nerves.nnThe information presented by Black Spectacles was right in line with the content and questions I encountered in the ARE. I had to write this as I have found certain other study materials missed the mark on what information may or may not be on an exam.

I found Black Spectacles the best source for studying ARE 5.0. The videos are very comprehensive and provide a lot of information without overwhelming you. I paid for the coaching service and it was great. I passed one of the test and I am taking the last one soon and I feel very confident, the coaching sessions were great and the coach (my coach was Laura) was very kind and very helpful. I highly recommend Black Spectacles, it is probably the best source right now to tackle ARE 5.0. Save your money in latte and invest your money on them. It is worth it!

I used the Black Spectacles video lectures almost exclusively for assistance in passing some of my ARE exams (taken in 4.0 and 5.0). The lecture content was on point and relevant to the exam content. The lectures were a better learning tool for me rather than combing through a stack of text books and recommended reading. Combined with my years of experience in the profession (20+) the video lectures were the perfect complement to fill in the gaps. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to utilize them as a study aid for the ARE.
