I applied for a mortgage refinance in early December. It is now early March and it's still not finalized. Receptionists don't answer emails. I did everything I was supposed to do. My rate lock is getting close to expiring because they are so slow, and now mortgage rates went up so I'm wondering if they'll charge me the higher rate after it expires. And, now it's too late to go to another mortgage company because rates are high. * I will delete this review and replace it with a good review when the mortgage is finalized with the rate I signed up for. -James Gofus

Don't waste your time or money with Alliant credit union. They will neither return your phone calls, nor care to respond to your e-mailed inquiry. Despite having spent good money from my pocket to get them their desired reports. My advice is Nerdwallet is going to get an ear full from me and my good friend Waqar who recommended Alliant, because he does business with them . . . I will make sure he is careful recommending anyone else in the future. Absolutely shameful on Alliant. Absolutely shameful!

Over the course of months, I have not been able to deposit cash into my account. Calls and chats for help resulted in blaming the B&M ATMs or myself. 3 deposit taking ATMs all gave the same error but Alliant simply doesn't care. There is a technical error on their end which remains unaddressed.nnThey used to be heavily recommended, even by myself, but not anymore. They have no customer service and will leave you out in the cold. If you're looking for a new bank for checking or savings, you can take Alliant CU off of your list. They simply aren't worth the hassle.

Been banking with Alliant for about 3 years and so far its been great. You get ATM reimbursements, high interest checking, and really high interest savings. I also use the Signature Cash Back Credit Card which provides great cash back on call purchases. The only downside is that I didn't know the bank was moving to 100% online. This has made things a bit uncertain for me since the site has poor documentation.

Impossible to deal with. Trying to purchase and charge me for insurance on the vehicle I have financed through them. Have provided proof of coverage but will not acknowledge. Under no circumstances should you do business with them.nnYOUR REPRESENTATIVE JUST HUNG UP ON ME!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
