The hospital care as an out patient was goodnTheir billing department is a nightmarenIt me me six months to get the billing correctnI actually had to get blue cross and blue shield involved before they gave me the correct pricenKeep a close watch on your bills

My Mother was admitted with an incision from surgery and a bed sore. She was discharged after 30 days because we were told by Doctor A that her wound was completed healed but would take some time for the bed sore to heal. My Mother was sent to a rehabilitation facility. When she was look at they found the wound had not healed and had to be sent to Lutheran General hospital because of an infection. They never look at the wound they discharged her because the 30 day insurance coverage was up.nThe other complaints are they rarely answer the call button from patients in less than 20 minutes and they only turned my mother every two hours when I was there and reminded them. They were more concerned with administering pain medication the addressing the two sores.
