My appointment was on time! The staff was great about explaining everything and Dr. Lindley explained, over the phone (due to Covid), the results and findings of her exam right away. I highly recommend Animal Eye!!

Today October 5, 2020 at 2:30am I took my baby to a 24hour hospital due to his eye. The hospital suggest it I take him the this place early in the morning. I called this place at 1pm and explained the issue of my baby's eye. I was nervous and paranoid because of his eye. They told me that the next appointment would be October 29th. ARE THEY SERIOUS? This is an eye issue and my baby can't wait to be seen in almost 4 weeks. Such ashame. This is just my experience this isn't a debate.

Pros: professional, excellent quality, knowledgeable, safety precautions during Covid, nice staffnnCons: pricey (but worth it), wish they would tell you if your pet will stay the whole day as that was unexpectednnI was anxious about this visit. My dog had a small mass on her top eyelid for a few years. Regular vet said surgery would be cosmetic since the mass was just ugly to look at but it didn't seem to bother her. Around June 2020, the mass looked to be growing and I got concerned. Regular vet referred me to AEC. I had planned to postpone it til after Covid (due to distance, potential cost, and Covid). But with no end in sight, I figured I should get it out of the way in case the mass was cancerous or something. I called to schedule the initial consultation in late Aug. They took my payment info for a binder fee of about $250 for the initial visit in advance. They couldn't estimate additional costs at that time. They were solidly booked so I couldn't schedule an appt until early October. They said humans will not be allowed in due to Covid so you do a dropoff of your pet once you arrive. They mailed me paperwork to complete the following week, along with receipt and I also called my regular vet to fax over her records.nnDay of appt, I called from the parking lot so they can take her in. About 10 mins later, someone came out to take her in & I also gave them the completed paperwork. BE SURE TO WEAR YOUR MASK, the vet assistants will wear theirs too. I waited about 2-3 hours in the parking lot (from about 7-9am or 10am) when they came back out and said they would keep her for rest of the day as they would perform surgery that day. They said it would cost about $2k and the Dr would call if any additional issues. You can pay then and there or you can pay later. I gave them my credit card to pay then. They said we could leave and come back once they called and told us she was ready to be picked up. They called about 1 or 2pm to say surgery was complete and we arrived around 3pm to pick her up. They gave us medications and directions about what tests were done, what the meds were for, and when to give them to her. They brought her out in her cone and she was still dazed. 2 follow up visits in the following month (included in the 2k) and she healed very well. If you look at her now you would never know she had the mass! Very grateful to the Dr and vet assistants!nnTL;DR - they are expensive but the quality of their work is worth it. Grateful for their help!
