Kroger Pharmacy

Every time I get a new prescription they only fill half of it. I have to explain how getting medication out of a vial works to those who don’t take the medicine. Each time I have to call my doctor and have them clarify how the prescription works even though it says it on my account and they can clearly see it.

The employees have always been super nice to me and I rarely wait all that long, and waiting behind a few people is not all that bad. They have also helped me out with my physician's office when I needed it. I switched to Kroger RX from Walgreens and never looked back.

The pharmacy at this location is a disaster. I recently moved back to Independence and decided since I live close I’d switch to Kroger Pharmacy from a larger retail chain. What a MISTAKE.nn(These mistakes take place over a 2 1/2 month period)nnThe first refill that I had done the pharmacy tech said that my insurance was expired?! I kind of laughed and said nope it isn’t. She insisted that it was even after giving her my insurance card. So I left called my insurance and sure enough it was NOT expired. She put the numbers in wrong (my guess).nnSecond time, I filled my script, they said insurance would NOT cover the full amount of the mg prescribed by the doctor; even though I’ve had it filled for years at my other pharmacy. Infuriated, I left and called the insurance- again it WAS covered with no issues. So I immediately called the pharmacy and asked to speak with the pharmacist. And after maybe a minute she hung up on me (mind you I was polite) because .. well.. Kroger.. I’m not sure why. Finally the next day I go back to pick up my prescription and guess what? it’s magically filled for the fill amount.nnLastly, a couple days ago I had my prescription sent over via electronic signature from the doctor. Now this is one medication I cannot do without. Well they received the prescription but not who signed it, since it’s a controlled drug (understandable) but what is not understandable is they did not bother to call or notify me about this. And when I called and asked about it I was hung up on again. And I’ve been without my medication for day 2 now even though the doctor resent it.nnI’m not sure if they don’t like handling customer issues or what but this is the worst experience I’ve had with any pharmacy. I do not recommend this one or any other Kroger Pharmacy. Steer clear!
