I am a real estate broker in southern Illinois. This was my first time going to the Johnson County Assessor’s Office. Let me say what a pleasant experience it was. Everyone was friendly and willing to help me out. I walked in at 11:58AM to get a list of tax bills for 17 properties. I was greeted by Kathy Graves who informed me that they closed for lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 and asked if I could come back after 1:00. I hesitated and said okay with a look of disappointment on my face. She said, “Well wait let me do them for you quickly.” I’ve been a real estate broker for almost two years and I have never had that level of customer service from any local government entity. I was there for about ten minutes. Kathy printed all of the tax bills that I needed. I was so impressed that I went straight back to my car to post this review. Great staff at the Johnson County Assessor’s Office. I look forward to having to visit them again. Thank you again Kathy. You made my day.
