I absolutely love and adore this Library. The staff are super friendly and eager to help. Always clean and well taken care of.nUnfortunately this is the best of Ramsey has to offer anymore. I just wish the government there would actually put money into things that are more wholesome and good for the community rather than bars, slot machines, and overpriced processed food. How can you grow when you're most fundamental parts of a community are lacking support. You may as well call it the city of Ramsey now instead of a village ugh.
the staff has a lot to learn and catch up on to bring them up to par with the rest of the other libraries in the area , Ramsey library has finally obtained the resources to go online which has taken place within the last couple months and they have in turn placed a 10 book/item limit on their cards which affects checkouts at other libraries as well, Maybe their logic in doing that is because they have so few books, they have roughly ten shelves half of which are not fully filled The library shares the building with the city hall which as far as I am aware does not allow them to spread out into the other room that remains empty most of the year excluding the monthly council meeting etc, Lining that empty room with shelves would be a good use of the space to expand their collection though i doubt that will happen, If you donate books to the ramsey library no matter the condition they will just turn around and sell the books for under $1 even if the books are brand new with a receipt Ultimately the Ramsey Library desperately needs More money, it's own Building, and to have someone with tech training either be a volunteer or hired on as staff
